A speech pathologist and psychologist, that's awesome and are very complimentary fields. To tie this to our other discussion, I don't know why so many men find being dominant so exhilarating and sexually satisfying - it's probably some combination of biological predisposition and conditioning. I agree - even with consent - having one person control the other is dangerous and degrading (which is why I'm so shocked that teens and young adults are engaging in purposefully choking each other during sex, but that's a topic for another day.) Learning to communicate, particularly during sex, is a process that some men will never conquer. I know a long-lasting relationship cannot be built on dominance...which is why I'm still a work in progress despite being a bit older.
