Here’s Where Men and Women Intersect and Overlap

If we drew a Venn diagram, here are potential areas of agreement

  1. VIOLENCE: There is NEVER an excuse for physical violence. If a man believes he has superiority over a woman, whether he calls himself an incel or a member of a red pill movement, or is an outright misogynist, he must be called out and corrected by other men….and women. On this point, there can be no room for debate or discussion….it is categorical.
  2. COMMUNICATION: Both men and women need to feel like they’re being respected and heard. Men and women often communicate differently but the overlap remains the same: hear what the other person is saying, keep an open mind to the other gender’s history and current experience, listen more, be less defensive, and be open to changing your mind when you are wrong.
  3. ROMANCE AND LOVE: Men and women (of the same or different genders) have an innate, biological need to develop emotional and physical closeness with each other. My most powerful memories are of dating, getting to know someone deeply, and the overwhelming, sometimes nerve-racking, spine-tingling, mysterious, process of going from being strangers to lovers.
  4. FAMILY: I desperately wanted to start a family. Getting married and having children has made my life enormously gratifying. I loved everything about it from the car line to…
