I read every word you said carefully. Many men are outrageously and unacceptably violent; some are not. I recognize that trying to parse this issue by differentiating the "good" men from the "bad" ones is foolish. I edited the subtitle because you are correct it was too hyperbolic and unclear and I am sincerely sorry about it. We're all a work in progress. Can you think of a way forward where women can feel safe and survive that doesn't demonize all men? That is not to say we don't deserve the demonization. If you read some of my other work you'll see I'm looking for solutions. My attempt was to give voice to how some young men are feeling and expressing themselves....it looks like I failed with this article. I could delete it, but I think the conversation it spurred might ultimately lead to something productive. I hope you can accept my apology for the extreme nature and tone and would love to discuss and/or debate this further if you wish. Sincerely.
