In every successful relationship, one person ultimately makes the important decisions…and the other one follows

Sure. Sometimes two people have exactly the same dreams, goals, and future plans.

But ultimately, one person in every relationship is the steadier hand. The never-say-die, dreamer….the breathless, manic, risk-taker.

The positive, adrenaline-soaked, optimist, who sees every challenge as a mere bump in the road.

The one who drives the relationship.

The one who wears the pants.

Where to work, where to live, whether to have children, how to spend money, how to cope with tragedy, and how to keep the relationship fresh and exciting, are typically decided by one person in the relationship.

The role of who drives the relationship or marriage may feel like fifty-fifty, but if you're honest with yourself, one person generally has the final say.

Those of you thinking it’s typically the man are wrong.

Plenty of men think they’re in charge when, in reality, they are not.

I’m not talking about the “happy wife-happy life,” bullshit. That expression makes me wanna puke.
