Many women don't want to ask men for help or to be their protectors. Many women agree with you that a man's role is to be the provider and protect the family, and if they choose to live that traditional lifestyle it's certainly their right to, but many don't want that. Your initial - very factual - argument, that men experience enormous amounts of violence and are hurt and killed much more than women is true. You say men abuse everyone - men more frequently than women, also statistically true. You say at the end of the day men have the power, but... women are now fighting for that same power. I think we're going to end up with some form of gender segregation where different regions of the country (maybe red state; blue state) attract like-minded men and women who agree on gender roles. Who knows? I'm just not comfortable surrendering to so much violence but admit I could be being naive. I appreciate the back and forth.
