1. Assume all men are potentially violent. Make sure you have the means to defend yourself if you need to.

2. If you’re a man, and your buddies think it’s a good idea to send unsolicited dick pics, tell vulgar pussy jokes, or brag about what they’re going to do to a woman sexually….push back on that bullshit…IN REAL TIME!

3. If you’re a woman who thinks it’s okay to treat all men like dogs or believes it’s time to punish them all collectively because they are simply an irredeemable gender….tell me what that payback accomplishes. Women should find a way to trust men, again…if they ever did.

4. Stop dating and marrying men altogether.

5. Find a way to thread the needle where men are allowed — even encouraged— to be strong, masculine, tough, and forceful, but not violent. Perhaps that needle can’t be threaded. But there’s no way men are going to give up on their masculinity, it’s part of their identity and who they want to be.

6. Between our smartphones listening to every word we utter, our doorbells watching us, and surveillance cameras everywhere, if we add cameras to our bedrooms, we’ll never be alone.
