Episode 1: Mary’s Painful First

27-year-old Roger was frantic. If a second could be broken into microseconds, he obsessed about her a million times a day.

Of course, he wanted to kiss her.

But he also wanted to talk to her. And to smell her. And to say the right things. And to make her happy.

25-year-old Mary, on the other hand, didn’t know what to make of this attention.

For a couple of months, they danced the waltz of love: flirting, kissing, loving, dreaming, planning, and ultimately marrying.

He wanted her to be happy.

But after a few years, it began to dawn on him. Mary was not happy.

She felt stuck. She was bored with everything.

It didn’t matter what Roger said or did, or how much he wanted her to be happy, she wasn’t.

They were stuck.

In between love and a hard place.

They were both attracted to the unknown, flirtatious by nature. But their love had traveled to the depths of their being.
