Not even a punch in the face hurts as much as being humiliated by a man you trust and respect

Just writing those words makes me wince!
It often starts when young boys begin to play sports.
Plenty of videos of grown men — necks bulging with fury — screaming at the top of their lungs, “What’s the fucking matter with you, you’re a useless, worthless, weakling, you’re playing like a little girl.”
And that’s just T-ball!
It only gets worse.
Many grown men have the strength and fearlessness to force crude, obnoxious, verbally abusive men to back off. Still, elementary, middle, and even high school boys are deeply intimidated by the cool guys even when they know their spirits are at risk of being irreparably damaged by their inaction.
Many grown men have deep regret they weren’t strong enough — when they were young boys — to defend other, weaker boys who were being mercilessly bullied and verbally tortured.
