Why does our brain torture us?
For the sake of this article, let’s loosely define sex, as a biological function and love, as someone you can’t stop thinking about, even if you try.
The focus here is the disconnect between the two.
In a perfect world, we’d stay in love with the person we’re with. But we often long for someone in our past, illogically.
Is it just misplaced brain chemicals?
Are we mostly bored and so our brains tend to run wild with desire?
Your mouth says it’s over, your brain says it’s not
We don’t know who’s gonna stick in our brains — it’s a mystery.
Kind of like the mystery of why we stay friends with some people for life, and others drift away.
It can’t be a conscious process, because if we could choose who we love, most of us wouldn’t choose someone who treats us poorly or is abusive, but our brains do.
Frickin brains. What the hell?
It is clearly a subconscious process where our brain itself decides who’s best for us, then feeds our consciousness…
