You make several points I hadn't considered. Many women's checklists do insist a man be of a certain height, build, and generally physically fit to be worthy, but I probably made the wrong assumption that most masculine men somehow lose that masculinity if they're not the breadwinner or in control of their women and families.

When you say, "Then you’ll willingly settle next to your woman who may be equally as successful in her pursuits and appreciates your energy being used to better your and her life and not dominate her." This may be a huge part of the solution. Valuing something other than who makes the most money - building a shed, teaching the neighborhood kids how to play football, mowing the lawn has to be part of the "equality" equation - but isn't always valued much.

I think it'll take men ourselves to redefine what dominance and control mean in a relationship or marriage.

Thanks so much for the thoughts!
